Krampus is Watching - Ornament with Story Card

This Krampus is Watching ornament is a SantaCam Alternative reminding older children, teens, and adults to be good. The round ornament-shaped acrylic is about 3" wide and 3.5" tall, with vinyl design and faux silver leafing, plus an attached 12" black chiffon hanging ribbon. It comes on a heavy cardstock backer that says, "Merry Krampus" and is perfect for gift-giving.

A small card is attached which explains the story of Krampus who is a traditional German and Alpine Region character that is said to punish bad children while his companion, St. Nikolaus, rewards the good children. It is a classic naughty vs nice list legend which is fictional but encourages good behavior. Krampus is said to swat children or even take them away if they are bad. Adults and teens will probably enjoy this ornament more than young children will, especially once kids understand his purpose. The intent is a lighthearted one, but this image and story may be too scary or intense for younger children. While Krampus has become a popular character in the US in the past few years, the legend has been around in Central Europe for centuries.
